MATH123 Semester 1 2011

Compulsory quizzes

You are required to complete the quizzes by their due dates. You may try as many times as you like, the quiz will be different each time, and your results for each attempt will be recorded.

The quizzes are timed, but your time is only recorded when you get full marks. This timing is not part of your assessment, it is simply for your own information. A quiz is considered passed if you have no more than two questions wrong.

If you have not successfully completed each quiz by its due date, your access to that quiz will be denied. This will mean that you cannot obtain a grade greater than F (49) unless you are granted additional time to complete the quizzes. Reasonable requests for extensions will be considered.
Enter your Student number then choose your quiz and click "Load quiz":

BE PATIENT - THE QUIZZES ARE LARGE DOCUMENTS AND TAKE TIME TO DOWNLOAD! (approx. 400Kb)

It may take some time for the quiz to appear, especially if you are accessing it from off campus, or over a slow internet connection.

DO NOT repeatedly click "Load quiz", as this restarts the download process every time you click, increasing the time you will have to wait. Only if nothing has happened after 3 or 4 minutes, should you click again.

If you have technical problems with the quizzes and tried what's on the instructions page, or if you believe there is an error in any of the questions, then email us with the full details, including your Student ID.

Mac users: make sure PDFs are set to open in Acrobat Reader, not Preview.

For Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) you must run Safari in 32-bit mode. To do this, quit Safari then go to the Applications folder. Select Safari, choose "Get Info" from the File menu (or do apple+i) and tick "Open in 32-bit mode".
